The Spanish and Portuguese national e-infrastructures, working together as IBERGRID, are organizing this year’s meeting in Santiago de Compostela 23-26 September. The event will also host the launching of activities of EOSC-Synergy.
IBERGRID 2019 is hosted by CESGA and is dedicated to the theme Delivering Innovative Computing and Data services to Researchers. To support this goal, the organisers will waive the registration fees for all students and early-career researchers (Master and PhD students).
The Call for Abstracts is open until 7 July. After the conference, accepted contributions will be invited to submit a full manuscript to the conference’s peer-reviewed proceedings.
The programme of the conference includes tracks on regional collaborations, research applications and their compute requirements, Open Science and FAIR, software development and R&D for computing services, networking, and data-driven science.
IBERGRID 2019 will also host a one-day tutorial on computing and data processing on cloud infrastructures targeted at researchers (26 September).
EOSC-Synergy, an EC-funded project set up to expand the capabilities and build the capabilities of EOSC, will kick-off at the event. The project is led by IBERGRID and brings together a consortium of infrastructure and data providers in Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, experts in policy development and FAIR data repositories in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, and the EGI Foundation.
